In this class—recorded using Zoom on 18 May 2021 and featuring participation from the Skillshare community—she turns a simple landscape painting into a chance to learn about colour mixing, core watercolour techniques, composition and shape, and so much more.
In just an hour, you’ll learn how to:
- Find values in a reference photo to help you translate it to a more abstract painting
- Use quick sketching to better understand the shapes you’re trying to recreate
- Intuitively mix any colour you need from a limited palette
- Create a loose and playful painting with a wet-on-wet technique
