“Game Design Documentation” is an introductory class that explores how to create Game Design Documentation. Whether you’re interested in video games, tabletop games, mobile apps, or other interactive experiences, this class breaks down what makes them engaging, meaningful, and fun. No prior design or development experience is required.
The course examines how documentation can be used to properly communicate with a team and protocol information if necessary. We also talk about why we want to set up documentation and how it can be used to directly benefit a complete development team. The class also includes a few practice tasks for everyone to join in on or spectate as examples. And of course, you are encouraged to follow along as we create a full example documentation, covering the overall structure and best practices to create individual pages.
