Abstract Art is a progression of contradictions between space, shape, contrast, and colors. And while many principles of art can be studied, there is a good amount of instinct and intuition that goes into creating art. In today’s class we’ll take a closer look at creating an abstract piece following a series of easy to follow steps that will offer the chance to fine tune those instincts by experimenting with shape placements. The process will be broken down by chapter, into manageable steps, each one open ended. Each chapter offers a task – within specific restrictions, like selecting 3 analogous colors, creating 5 shapes, etc.
